Our Practice... We consistently strive to deliver the best dental care to our patients by incorporating the newest technology and conservative techniques to produce a comfortable environment and healthy, beautiful smiles.

As we are committed to rendering quality dental care to our patients, these results can only be achieved by maintaining the highest standards of treatment.  This is achieved by developing an individualized comprehensive treatment plan for each patient’s needs.   We then incorporate education based hygiene and both restorative and cosmetic dentistry to achieve and maintain oral health.  For new patients and any developing emergency situations, we do our very best to see and care for you as soon as possible. 

​Patient Education for Prevention... The team at Hockessin Dental believes that creating an informed and educated patient is the best way to achieve dental health.  This entails a focus on the delivery of proactive oral health care compared to reactionary disease care.  Thorough exams of the teeth and supporting gums, along with necessary x-rays, enable us to diagnose any existing problems and to avoid any foreseen future impediments to optimal health.  We then take the time to inform our patients of the reasons for recommended treatments, the results we expect to achieve, and how to maintain a long term healthy smile.  A continuous evaluation of all of our patients’ medical histories is also incorporated to aid in determining the best treatments to maintain dental and general health.

​Infection Control & Patient Safety... The maintenance of a safe work place and infection control is essential to our office.  We maintain the highest standards of sterilization and cross contamination prevention to protect both patients and staff by following the strict standards established by the American Dental Association, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and the Center for Disease Control.We also incorporate the use of digital x-rays in our office toreduce radiation exposure by 90% as compared to conventional x-rays.

​Training & Expertise... To maintain ourselves at the forefront of oral healthcare, we as a team are committed to advancing our knowledge and level of care through continuing education.  We regularly participate in dental lectures, courses, and meetings to stay abreast of new techniques, equipment, and approaches in order to deliver the most advanced methods of achieving optimal oral health.  We also participate in various study groups and numerous professional associations for continued office improvement and healthcare advancements.
